Dear Folks,
Still in this place but expect to leave any time for Brest. I will be glad when we get started. Of course, we may have to work a while at the port. We do not know yet. After we get there and see how much we have to do, we will know better how soon we are going to get home.
Yesterday was a good day, the first in two [weeks]. To-day is the usual thing, lead colored sky and a fine mist falling.
When I get to the U.S. I think I will live in Arizona or any other place where it rains only once in a life time.
Saw a foot-ball game yesterday, the first since two years ago.
Best of Love,
JoelJ.C. Swisher
