Easter Sunday, Dear Aunt Mary

Dear Aunt Mary,
Got thy letter of Mar 11 a few days ago. Thy letters seem to be coming thru in good time. I think my mail will be very satisfactory from now on unless we move again. Of course we can never tell any thing about that.
I thought I had better let you know I am not in the mix up of the great battle now going on.(1)The 1918 Spring Offensive In fact we are no ways near it. Was afraid you might be worried thinking this outfit was in and naturally myself.
We have been having very decent weather lately but not very warm. Today however is not very favorable for Easter bonnets as it is somewhat rainy. Makes a very good day to rest and write letters.
Perhaps I have not told thee before but we have electric lights in our barracks now. Also we have bath houses with hot showers in them. This camp is getting fixed up pretty good now and in many ways I do not care to leave it. It is a good sized camp now. All of this work has been done since the latter part of Jan. and a very large majority of this has been done by our company.
Thee has often asked me what kind of work I am doing. I guess it is very much the same kind of work I would be doing if I were at home working for Tipp Deaver.
This is some French writing paper that I bought in a little town near this camp. What does thee think of it? It looks strange with so many lines.
Thank thee very much for the clippings. The last ones were very interesting. I am returning one that thee read it again as it seems to describe the place we were in till nearly Xmastime.
Lovingly
