Nov 12
Today completes my first year in France and the war was finished yesterday. Here’s one that has no regrets the job is finished. Have no idea of when they will start sending troops back, but if they send them back in the same order in which they came across we will be in the first 120 thousand, but you can’t prophesy in the army. Some American troops will no doubt go to Germany during the armistice. For all I know I may celebrate Thanksgiving and Xmas in Germany. Here’s hoping it is in America instead.
